We start the day trip to Kernave with pickup from your hotel in Vilnius and in just a short drive (~40 km) from Vilnius we reach Kernave and the Neris Regional Park, where you will doe a 5-km trail.

What is waiting for you on this hike? Mysterious fort hills and traces of ancient settlements dating back to 9000 years B.C. Ancient oak forest, Neris River “canyons” and deep forests in the Neris Regional Park. In Kernavė learn about first medieval capital of Lithuania and hear many stories and secrets about the largest and oldest surviving oak forests where pagans used to worship their gods. At the end have a nice cup of tea or fresh brewed coffee with a traditional pie to round up your trip.
