Program
This hike brings you to Kemeri – a former sulfur water and mud resort town. Once famous, it has fallen from its former glory, only architectural monuments are left to speak of the former splendour of the Kemeri resort. Kemeri is a very lovely town with romantic wooden architecture, perfect for all those who are artists at heart. Kemeri is located within the Kemeri National Park which is known for its great biological diversity.
What is waiting for you on this hike? A walk around Kemeri historical resort, lovely wooden architecture, the Black Alder Swamp boardwalk, peaceful hike along the Green Dune, colourful sulfur water ponds in the Witches’ Bog, and hopefully – a lot of adventures!

When and where
The meeting point is in front of the Kemeri train station at 10:30. The hike starts and ends at the same point. Return back to Riga around 17:00.
Transportation
You have two options – train or your own car. Train to Kemeri departs at 09:30 from Riga train station and arrives in Kemeri at 10:28 (2,10 € one way ticket). If you come by your own car, you can park it next to the Kemeri train station, there is free parking.

- On the tour are not allowed persons who have to be in quarantine or are having symptoms like fever, and other signs of acute infection.

How to dress
Please, dress accordingly to the weather forecast! Due to very changeable weather, layering is key to enjoying the hike, and rain protection is a must-have. Any comfortable shoes or sandals are good enough for this hike.
Level of difficulty
A quite easy hike. Walking around the town, small foot paths through the woods, boardwalks and countryside roads.

- 2 l of water per person as a minimum
