Would you like to walk around Lithuanian mountains in winter when everything is covered with snow and turned into a white fairytale? With snowshoes you can walk on deep snow, discover fascinating places and enjoy beautiful winter scenery. On our tour you will walk with snowshoes around rolling hills of the Duksta River valley and Kernave. Four hours long walk will bring you through the only mountain-like river valley in Lithuania and lead you to the archaeological site in Kernave, included on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List. Transportation
We will pick you up at your given address in Vilnius and bring you back.
Level of difficulty
Snowshoeing distance is about four kilometres on hilly terrain. Walking with snowshoes allows you to get through otherwise impassable woodland areas, such as muddy off-road, iced and snowy hills, and swampy terrain. However, walking with snowshoes is more physically demanding than usual walking.
Note
The tour is available from December to March and depends on weather conditions.If there is not enough snow or ice, alternative hiking tours are offered.
